Are you a healthcare professional involved in the management of medical emergencies? This course is primarily designed for emergency healthcare providers working in emergency departments, clinics, and pre-hospital settings.
Course Overview
Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) remains the gold standard of education for emergency medical assessment and treatment and is endorsed by the National Association of EMS Physicians. In the fourth edition of AMLS, participants learn to recognize and manage emergent medical crises through realistic, case-based scenarios that challenge students to apply their knowledge to critically ill patients. The course emphasizes interactive group discussion focused on differential diagnosis and treatment strategies, allowing learners to systematically evaluate possibilities and probabilities when managing medical emergencies. Realistic patient simulations are incorporated to further enhance the learning experience.
What You Will Learn
- A systematic approach to assessing and managing medical emergencies
- Recognition and response to common and uncommon medical emergencies
- Evaluation and management of chest pain with or without cardiac involvement
- Evidence-based updates on neurological disorders
