AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course from the American Heart Association (AHA) is the bedrock of emergency cardiovascular care. This essential, hands-on training is mandatory for virtually all healthcare professionals and provides the critical skills needed to respond to life-threatening emergencies in both pre-hospital and in-facility settings.
Our official AHA course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, deliver high-quality CPR, administer appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Course Overview & Key Benefits
The AHA BLS Course focuses heavily on skills on proficiency, utilizing a video- based, instructor-led approach with realistic scenario practice. You will learn both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills, emphasizing the importance of effective team dynamics for improved patient outcomes.
• Core Certification: Fulfill the BLS requirement for nurses, physicians, paramedics dentists and other medical staff
• Skill Mastery: Gain confidence performing high-quality chest compressions and rescue breathing on adults, children infants
• Official Certification: Receive your two-year AHA BLS Provider Certification (eCard) upon successful course completion
What You Will Learn
This high-impact BLS training covers key life-saving steps:
• The critical concepts of High-Quality CPR
• The AHA Chain of Survival
• CPR and AED use for adults, children and infants
• Relief of Foreign-Body Airway obstruction (Choking) for all ages
• Ventilation techniques using a barrier device (pocket mask)
• Importance of Team Dynamics in multi-rescuer resuscitation
