A member of our hospital medicine team, Mugtaba Ahmed, MD, brings more than 7 years of experience delivering evidence-based, compassionate care across diverse clinical settings. Dr. Ahmed obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Alzaiem AlAzhari University in Sudan, then completed an internal medicine residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Ahmed also gained emergency medicine experience in Saudi Arabia, Ireland and other locations. A native of Sudan, he enjoys playing recreational soccer, going on road trips and long-distance driving outside of medicine. Dr. Ahmed is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Sudanese American Physician Association.
