Trinity Health is excited to announce the donation of ventilators to the Dakota College at Bottineau and Minot State University nursing programs. These ventilators will enhance nursing students’ learning and provide technology that closely resembles what they will see in a clinical setting.

After Trinity Health’s respiratory therapy team received new ventilators, made possible by the generous support of Trinity Health Foundation, the donated equipment was retired from active use. Rather than being discarded, the retired units are being used to train the next generation of healthcare professionals.

For nursing programs around the Minot area, this technology is not always available in a classroom setting. Now, students can learn and practice on simulated patients with a ventilator, building the confidence and experience they’ll need when they encounter real-life scenarios in the field.

“This donation grows out of the strong partnership between Trinity Health and the nursing programs at Dakota College at Bottineau and Minot State University,” said Ben Anderson, VP of Patient Care/Chief Nursing Officer at Trinity Health. “By equipping these students with the tools they’ll train on today, we’re investing in the nurses who will care for our region tomorrow.”

In donating this equipment, Trinity Health reaffirms its dedication to strengthening nursing education across the region, helping ensure the next generation of caregivers are ready to step confidently into clinical practice.
