Trinity Health is excited to announce the purchase of the Trident HD Specimen Radiography System, marking a transformative day for breast cancer surgery throughout the region. This state-of-the-art technology was purchased with support from Trinity Health Foundation and its donors, and through the Double D-Haw fundraising event.

The Trident HD Specimen Radiography system is a mobile system that provides immediate, high-resolution imaging of breast tissue specimens in the operating room. This eliminates the need to transport tissue for imaging and review, which can potentially increase procedure time and delay decision-making. It enables patients undergoing breast surgery to benefit from advanced specimen imaging technology that improves surgical precision and supports better patient outcomes.
“Double D-Haw and the support of Trinity Health Foundation donors made the purchase of this technology possible. Their generosity not only funds equipment but also better outcomes and peace of mind for patients at Trinity Health. The introduction of this technology is a significant milestone in breast care that will impact our region for years to come,” said Jim Coffin, Director of Imaging Services at Trinity Health.

The addition of the Trident HD Specimen Radiography System reflects Trinity Health’s commitment to delivering high-quality care and cutting-edge technology close to home.
