
Trinity Health’s licensed practical nurse (LPN)/ associate degree in nursing (ADN) Program is for current Trinity Health employees who are interested in furthering their career in nursing.
What Trinity Health covers:
- Tuition for three semesters to become an LPN.
- Tuition for two semesters to earn an ADN.
-Students do not have to attend the ADN program and can graduate as a practical nurse (PN).
-If students would like to attend the ADN program, there must be no break between attendance of the programs. Any break between courses will results in elimination of participation in the ADN session. - Trinity Health DOES NOT cover the cost of application fees, program fees or books.
Deadlines:
- DCB Nursing: Applications open December 1, 2025 – March 5, 2026.
- Trinity Health: Applications open January 19, 2026 – March 5, 2026.
- Program decisions made the beginning of June, after DCB acceptance letters are distributed.
- DCB Nursing program start date: August 24, 2026.
Employment Guidelines:
- Employees must continue working at Trinity Health during the LPN/ADN program for a minimum of 16 hours per pay period.
- Employees must have been hired at least six months prior to the Dakota College at Bottineau’s Nursing program start date, August 24, 2026.
- Employees must work for Trinity Health after graduation for a minimum of two years for LPN Program or three years for ADN Program.
DCB requires two applications for admission into their program, one directly for the college and one for the nursing program.

- Nursing Home RN $31.48
- Clinical RN $27.00
- Hospital LPN $23.97
- Nursing Home LPN $25.17
- Clinical LPN $21.74
Additional pay for:
- Evening shifts: +$2.00/hour
- Night shifts: +$3.00/hour
- Weekends: +$0.75/hour
