Dr. Reason is a member of our primary care team who specializes in Internal Medicine, a medical field that focuses on the health problems of adults. He looks forward to serving patients with a patient-centered, science-based approach that focuses on promoting wellness in addition to diagnosing and treating illness. Born and reared in Grenada, West Indies, Dr. Reason earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. As a student there he received several honors, including the Future Physician/Golden Stethoscope Award for outstanding academic performance coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills and humanitarianism. He completed his Internal Medicine residency in the U.S. at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield, where he received the Best Resident Award. A member of the American College of Physicians and American Medical Association, Dr. Reason enjoys soccer and reading fiction.
Internal medicine deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. An internist cares for hospitalized and ambulatory patients and may play a major role in teaching or research. They are especially skilled in the management of patients who have undifferentiated or multi-system disease processes.
