Jenna Young, PharmD, RPh

Jenna Young, PharmD, RPh, Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, is dedicated to helping patients manage chronic conditions through personalized care. A graduate of North Dakota State University with a PGY1 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Young’s training focused on primary care, internal medicine, pain management, cardiology and teaching. She has since advanced ambulatory care services in multiple clinical areas, including pain management and palliative oncology. At Trinity Health Medical Arts, Dr. Young provides comprehensive medication management for patients with diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and tobacco dependence, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize therapy and improve outcomes. Dr. Young is also a certified Lifestyle Coach, supporting patients with an emphasis on sustainable lifestyle changes such as nutrition, movement, self-efficacy, sleep and stress for a more balanced life. Beyond patient care, she mentors pharmacy residents and students, and in her free time enjoys traveling, creating floral art, cooking, baking and spending time with her husband and three pets.

Ambulatory care pharmacy is a specialized area of pharmacy practice focused on providing medication-related care to patients in outpatient settings. Pharmacists work closely with patients and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy, manage chronic conditions, improve adherence, and prevent adverse drug events. Through services such as medication counseling, monitoring, and disease management, ambulatory care pharmacists help improve patient outcomes and promote safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of medications.
