A certified nurse practitioner, Durand Jones, FNP-C, cares for patients as part of Trinity Health’s Neurosurgery team. Neurosurgery is a medical specialty concerned with disorders affecting the entire nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra cranial cerebrovascular system. In addition to clinical assessment and patient management, Durand assists the neurosurgeon in pre-, intra- and postoperative care.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, he served in the U.S. Air Force, moving to Minot AFB in 1988. He completed his military service and pursued a career in nursing. He and his wife, Correen, have a son and daughter. They enjoy many types of outdoor activities.

-Sixteen years nursing practice in Grand Forks and Bottineau;
-Five years as traveling nurse;
-Two years as clinical nurse instructor for two years, including teaching for Williston State College, Bottineau.
