Desiree Steinberger, RD, LRD, has been named president of the North Dakota Nutrition Council. Steinberger, who serves as Nutrition Services Director at Trinity Hospital, was selected at the group’s annual conference after serving as president-elect this past year.
A Kenmare native, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of North Dakota and worked several years as a dietitian and nutrition services director in public and private healthcare settings in Williston and New Salem. She joined Trinity Health in 2020.
Organized in 1978, NDNC is a professional association dedicated to improving the nutritional health of North Dakotans through the promotion of accurate and current nutrition information. It also supports nutrition professionals in their roles as educators and health advocates.
