‘Cookout with the Crew’ Honors Ambulance Professionals
Trinity Health is inviting the public to attend a picnic event celebrating the lifesaving work of its medical transport teams and other emergency medical service (EMS) professionals.
“Cookout with the Crew” will be held Tuesday, August 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Town & Country Center parking lot at 1015 South Broadway.
Amy Thomas, director of Trinity Health First Response and Transport Services, says the cookout will feature a “meet and greet” with First Response personnel and provide an up-close look at Trinity’s high-tech helicopter and ground ambulance transports. Guests will also be treated to a free picnic-style meal of a brat or hotdog, chips, and a cookie.
“This is our way to thank the community for its support and to recognize the lifesaving work of our prehospital care professionals, who bring such a high level of expertise to every call,” Thomas said.
Trinity Health First Response was formed last year as a fully integrated department encompassing ground, helicopter and fixed-wing critical care transports, along with Trinity’s First Call dispatch and EMS education centers.
