The Trinity Health Center for Diabetes Education will present a free program, “Safety with Activity,” Tuesday, May 4, at 5:30 p.m. in the Trinity Health Community Conference Room, located at Town & Country Center, 1015 South Broadway.
Outpatient Dietitian Michelle Fundingsland, RDN, LRD, and Tanya Gillen, certified personal trainer and exercise physiologist, will review the basics of physical activity and how it can positively impact blood glucose levels, along with recommendations on how to exercise safely.
The program, which can be viewed via Webex, is part of the center’s ongoing educational series, Keys to Diabetes Success. Reservations aren’t required but recommended by calling the Center for Diabetes Education at 857-5268. Those in attendance are asked to bring their own face covering or mask.
