Trinity Health is accepting registrations for Weigh 2 Change, a CDC-approved diabetes prevention program that helps people with prediabetes take control of their health through nutrition, exercise, and support.
Interested persons are invited to attend one of two informational sessions scheduled May 18 and 25 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Trinity Health Community Conference Room at Town & Country Center. Weigh 2 Change classes will begin June 8.
Due to COVID-19, RSVP is required by calling the Center for Diabetes Education at 701-857-5268. Attendees are asked to wear face covering. People who are unable or choose not to attend either informational session may call the Center for an appointment.
To qualify for Weigh 2 Change, individuals must meet the following criteria: be 18 years or older, at risk for or have prediabetes, and be overweight. Disqualifying factors include pregnancy and already having a diagnosis of diabetes.
People who decided to commit to the program and are not covered by Medicare will be charged a fee of $220, which covers educational sessions and materials for the entire year. For more information, call the Trinity Health Center for Diabetes Education at 701-857-5268.
