The Trinity Health Center for Diabetes Education will host a pair of informational sessions August 6 and 27 for people interested in registering for its diabetes prevention program, Weigh 2 Change.
Potential participants are urged to attend one of the two “Session Zero” meetings to learn about the program, complete a Readiness-to-Change questionnaire, and decide whether the program is right for them. The free Sessions Zero meetings are scheduled from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Trinity Health Community Conference Room at Town & Country Center
Weigh 2 Change is a yearlong, CDC-approved program that helps people with prediabetes take control of their health through nutrition, exercise, group support, and the use of trained lifestyle coaches. Participants must be 18 years or older, be at risk for – or have – prediabetes, and be overweight. They can’t be pregnant or have diabetes. Medicare recipients may be eligible for coverage.
