(MINOT, ND) – Trinity Health Foundation has kicked off its 6th annual drive to put turkeys and other fare on the tables of needy families this holiday season.

Director Al Evon says the Foundation is again partnering with KHRT’s Horn of Plenty campaign to raise funds to purchase turkeys and other provisions. The food items will be distributed along with gift boxes to families in the community just before Christmas.

This year’s goal is to raise $6,750 ñ enough to purchase turkeys for 450 families or gift boxes for 150 families.

‘The holidays are a time to reflect, give thanks and help those who are less fortunate,’ Evon said. ‘It only takes $15 to sponsor a turkey and $45 to sponsor an entire gift box. We hope the community will join together with Trinity’s staff, volunteers, and board members to make a difference in the health of the community and give families hope at a critical time of the year.’

The Horn of Plenty Drive runs until December 1st. People are welcome to make cash donations in one of several ways:
