(MINOT, ND) – Trinity Health’s Nutrition Services Department will offer a cooking class, ‘Enjoying the Harvest of Healthy Food,’ Tuesday, September 1, at 7 p.m. in the Trinity Health Community Conference Room at Town & Country Center.
The program is a part of a year-long series of events to promote healthier eating. It also will serve as an educational opportunity in Trinity’s lineup of support programs for people with diabetes.
Trinity Health Outpatient Dietitian Kayla Cole, RD, LRD, says the event will highlight foods that are so abundant this time of year. ‘This is the season when the markets are overflowing with fruits and vegetables,’ Cole said. ‘I encourage people to come and enjoy samples of the foods that are in season and pick up ideas on healthier ways to prepare them.’
The class will be offered free of charge, thanks to a gift from the Trinity Health Foundation. Space is limited. Persons interested in attending are asked to reserve a space by calling 857-5268 by August 31.
