NorthStar Criticair crew received special mealtime fare thanks to community support from Miranda Heisler. After dropping off doughnuts in the morning, she followed up with suppertime fare of Five Guys burgers and fries. The chow was intended to show appreciation for all that the NorthStar teams do to save lives and for their heroic efforts battling the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Miranda has provided similar recognition to other first responders in the area, including law enforcement, fire, ambulance, and EMS education. She plans to commemorate her project with a video that shows each EMS agency handing off a candle to the next in a show of unity.
