(MINOT, ND) – Trinity Behavioral Health Services is accepting referrals for the Fall Session of its Nurturing Parenting Education series. The weekly classes begin September 5th and continue through December 19th.
Coordinator Karissa Hoff, LSW, a licensed social worker, says the free sessions are for families with children up to 12 years of age and are designed to educate parents and children as they work to make family life more harmonious.
‘The skills we cover include how to handle feelings, communicate needs, how to empathize, use alternative discipline, be responsible for their behavior, promote family fun, establish routines, handle stress and anger, gain positive self-esteem, and give and receive healthy touch,’ Hoff explained.
Classes will be held at Health Center-Riverside, located at 1900 8th Avenue SE. Each class begins with a supper at 5:30 p.m. and concludes at 8 p.m. To register or for more information, call (701) 857-3622.
