A member of our pediatrics team, Melissa Andreasen, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children and adolescents. A graduate of Minot State University, Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 and began her nursing career as an RN with Trinity Health. She served patients in the addiction services, intensive care, and same day surgery units before shifting her focus to advanced practice nursing. While pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, she worked part time as a clinical nurse instructor with Dakota College at Bottineau. She completed her Family Nurse Practitioner training 2020 and joined a private primary care practice as a family care provider, helping pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients manage the full range of acute and chronic health conditions. Melissa is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She loves spending time with her two children when she’s not at work.

Aaron Makens, MD
A member of our primary care team, Dr. Makens is board eligible in family medicine, with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of health conditions for patients throughout their lifetime. His areas of focus include women’s health, pediatric care, chronic disease management, and routine checkups to promote wellness. Originally from Fort Lupton, a farming town in Colorado, Dr. Makens received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and served as a combat medic in Iraq as part of the Texas Army National Guard. He earned his medical doctorate from St. George’s University School of Medicine, accomplishing his clinical training at Cincinnati Jewish Hospital. His family medicine residency was completed at Minot’s Center for Family Medicine, a program of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Makens is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Kallie Goodman, FNP-C
Kallie Goodman, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner and a member of our provider team at FirstCare Walk-In Clinic. Kallie is trained to manage the immediate needs of patients seeking care for the full range of non-emergent illnesses and injuries. A Minot native, Kallie completed pre-nursing requisites at Minnesota State University Moorhead before earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Medcenter One College of Nursing in Bismarck. She practiced pediatrics, GI, plastic surgery, and acute care nursing. She completed her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practice through Maryville University, St. Louis. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Kallie enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters. Together they enjoy going to the lake, snowboarding, and traveling – especially if there is a half marathon to run.
William Sisa, MD
Dr. Sisa is a pediatrician, dedicated to providing holistic care that promotes the well-being of children, adolescents, and their families. He is specially trained to manage the full range of children’s physical, mental, and emotional health problems, including acute and chronic conditions, behavioral difficulties, and developmental disorders.
Dr. Sisa earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, and completed his pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, a teaching hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.
Dr. Sisa grew up in Ghana, where he won the Presidential Award for being the best student from one of the 10 regions in Ghana at the Junior High School level, after which he proceeded to Major in Science at the best high schools in Ghana. Upon completion of high school, he started a remedial school in his hometown which is currently a high school in Ghana.
He proceeded to the University of Ghana where he majored in Chemistry. Upon arrival in the USA, he worked as a quality control chemist at NicePak PDI helping to develop some of the HPLC methods used to test the Super Sani Wipe the most popular hospital disinfectant used in hospitals in the USA. Dr. Sisa was pursuing a graduate Studies in Biochemistry at The City University of NY before he decided to pursue medicine at the St. George’s University School Medicine.
During clinical years in NYC, he got interested in teaching and mentoring of high school students in the science field, and completed several hours of volunteer work teaching. During residency, he participated in various research projects and had one of his research topics presented at the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) 2020 Conference in Washington, DC.
He loves driving, playing volleyball, and soccer.

Jason Coombs, DO
A physiatrist specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Jason Coombs, DO, helps patients restore loss of mobility and function due to injury or disease and serves as medical director of our inpatient rehabilitation unit, RehabCare. Dr. Coombs provides both inpatient and outpatient care to people dealing with a variety of conditions such as stroke, brain/spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic trauma. He also provides musculoskeletal examinations and diagnosis using EMG and other techniques. Formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Coombs earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University California and completed his PM&R residency at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids. His experience includes medical service across three different continents as part of the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard. A member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Coombs and his family enjoy sports, outdoor activities, and travel. He’s been active in community service, including a 20-year involvement with the Boy Scouts of America and coaching youth sports teams.
Patti Hagerott, FNP-C
Patti Hagerott, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner and a member of our provider team at FirstCare Walk-In Clinic. An experienced nurse, Patti has a Master of Science Degree in Family Nurse Practice from Georgetown University, Washington, DC. She is well equipped to manage the primary healthcare needs of individuals and families with an emphasis on diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries. She also is trained to perform a variety of in-office procedures. A Bottineau native, Patti received an Associate of Science in Nursing from Minot State University – Bottineau Campus, before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Medcenter One College of Nursing, Bismarck, in 2001. She practiced in Glendive, MT, working in the medical/surgical and labor & delivery departments before joining Trinity Health, where she cared for patients in the Emergency/Trauma Center and served eight years as a flight nurse with NorthStar Criticair. A proud soccer mom, she enjoys lake activities with her husband, four children, and two grandchildren. Her fitness pursuits including Spartan Racing, CrossFit, and running events.
Danielle Holsten, FNP-C
A board-certified nurse practitioner, Danielle Holsten, MSN, FNP-C, is a member of our Family Medicine team at Trinity Health Medical Arts. She provides comprehensive primary care for families of all ages, offering the full range of family medicine services. She also helps seamlessly coordinate care with other specialties as needed. Danielle received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary, Bismarck, in 2013, and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Frontier Nursing University, Hyden, Kentucky, in 2018. She began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Westhope Nursing Home, Westhope, and later at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck. She then worked as a Registered Nurse for Trinity Health in the Medical/Surgical department, before working for four years as an RN in the UND Center for Family Medicine’s clinic in Minot and later at the Good Samaritan Society, Mohall.
Angie Heintz, FNP-C
Angela Joy Heintz, FNP-C, a Minot native, is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She is a member of our team of providers at FirstCare Walk-In Clinic. Angie holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing and Health Sciences from Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona respectively. Earlier in her career she practiced in ICU settings in Arizona. Angie returned home to further her education and completed her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practice through the University of North Dakota. She has extensive critical care experience, having served as a registered cardiovascular/trauma nurse and a charge nurse in Trinity Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and later as a flight nurse with NorthStar Criticair.

When you visit our walk-in clinic, we will begin by talking with and examining you to understand your symptoms. After your exam, you may receive:

Our walk-in clinic is centrally located in Minot and easy to access. We offer clinic-side parking directly in front of the building, and our office is located just inside the front doors.
The building where our clinic is located serves as a one-stop shop for all of your immediate care needs, including laboratory, imaging, pharmacy and medical device services. It also houses clinics for a wide range of primary and specialty care, including obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, cardiology, hand surgery and podiatry.
