Trinity CancerCare center provides services in a friendly atmosphere, featuring a spacious front lobby, large windows, and a fireplace. New patients are assisted in their cancer care journey by a patient navigation nurse and a friendly reception team. Two medical oncologists, a radiation oncologist, two nurse practitioners, and the entire CancerCare team work together to deliver high-quality cancer care.
Radiation oncology services include patient assessment and follow up, simulation, dose planning, and radiation treatment delivery. Four examination rooms support consultations and follow-up visits. See the Technology page for a full list of our capabilities.
Medical oncology services are delivered in 10 private patient exam rooms and a spacious 18-chair infusion center with private infusion suites. Each infusion suite has a flat screen television and heated massage chair. A nutrition room is available to patients and families during infusion visits. Patients can also access clinical trials through our cancer research department. Our two medical oncologists also specialize in hematology.
Nurse Navigators and Other Support
Patients receiving chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy also receive the benefit of cancer navigation and survivorship support. Our patient navigator nurses guide patients through tests, therapy needs, and treatments. Navigation helps patients understand their individualized plan of care, overcome barriers, and meet goals. CancerCare nurses achieve Oncology Nursing Certification through the Oncology Nursing Society and pass chemotherapy and biotherapy courses. A social worker is also onsite to assist with financial concerns, local accommodations, and transportation resources. Patients also have access to nutrition support, lymphedema support, chaplain services, the Cancer Exercise Rehab Program, and Gentle Yoga. Our nurse practitioner provides survivorship care as appropriate to assist cancer patients as they move to regular medical care.
