A licensed psychologist, Dr. Magelky provides comprehensive psychological care for people dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, serious mental illness, PTSD, and personality disorders. Her experience includes working with adult clients in inpatient and outpatient settings, and providing evaluations for people in court-ordered, parental capacity, guardianship, and civil commitment situations. Dr. Magelky has worked extensively with veterans and active military. She has specialized training treating PTSD and trauma using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). A Dickinson native and magna cum laude graduate of the University of Mary in Bismarck, she completed both her master’s and doctorate degrees in Counseling Psychology at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Her pre-doctoral internship was completed at Mississippi State Hospital in Jackson, and she did her psychology residency at West Central Human Service Center in Bismarck. Following residency, she practiced in Bismarck and Jamestown, and most recently was with Minot Air Force Base’s 5th Medical Group. A member of the American Psychological Association, she enjoys dogs, reading, traveling, and movies, and spending time with her family.
