A member of our hospitalist team, Amy Mingle, MD, is a family medicine physician with broad expertise in the skills needed to coordinate the care of patients as they recover in the hospital. A biology graduate from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, she earned a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine – Dominica. She subsequently completed her family medicine residency at the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences’ residency program in Minot. Dr. Mingle is committed to delivering exceptional care, with a focus on creating strong rapport with patients and their families.

Sohaib Hussaini, MD
A member of our hospitalist team, Sohaib S. Hussaini, MD, is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients. He is board certified in Family Medicine. He received his medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Prior to obtaining his degree, he spent time managing a medical clinic devoted to helping New York residents overcome drug addiction. He subsequently completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences’ Northwest Campus in Minot, where he served as the Chief Resident in his final year. A Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Hussaini is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, North Dakota Academy of Family Physicians and American Medical Association. A New York City native, Dr. Hussaini’s personal interests include basketball, boxing, cooking and travel.
Megan Schmidt, MD
A member of hospitalist team, Megan Schmidt, MD, is board certified in family medicine, with broad expertise in the skills needed to coordinate the care of patients as they recover in the hospital. A lifelong Minot resident, Dr. Schmidt graduated from Minot High School in 2008 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Oklahoma. She returned to North Dakota to complete her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She subsequently did her Family Medicine residency at United Family Medicine/Allina Health, St. Paul. A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Schmidt enjoys baking, hiking, and yoga.
Joan Agwai, MD
A member of our hospitalist team, Dr. Agwai provides timely, coordinated care to hospital patients based on changes in their medical status. She is board certified in internal medicine. A graduate with high honors from City College of New York (CUNY), Dr. Agwai earned her medical doctorate from Meharry Medical College in Nashville and completed her internal medicine residency at NYU-Winthrop University Hospital in New York State. Following residency, she practiced internal medicine and hospital medicine at hospitals in Texas. While in Texas, she earned a master’s degree in Business Administration and Healthcare Management from West Texas A&M University. Dr. Agwai is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Jeremy Shuck, PA-C
A member of our hospitalist team, Jeremy Shuck, PA-C, is a physician assistant board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He works in collaboration with doctors and other members of the care team to help patients through the healing process during their hospital stay. Originally from Alexandria, MN, Jeremy earned both his undergraduate degree and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. His physician assistant training was completed at Essentia Health and St. Luke’s Hospital, both in Duluth, and Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN. He and his family enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities.
Courtney Black, MD
Trinity Health is pleased to welcome Courtney Black, MD, to our hospitalist team. Hospital Medicine is a specialty dedicated to providing timely, coordinated care for patients in a hospital setting, based on changes in their medical status. A Family Medicine specialist, Dr. Black received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University and completed her Family Medicine residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. She began her medical career as a nurse, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minot State University and practicing in Trinity Hospital’s emergency and medical surgery units for four years. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Medicine. A Minot/Minneapolis native, Dr. Black’s personal interests include dog rescue, running, and gardening.
John Folland, MD
A specialist in Family Medicine, Dr. Folland works with patients of all ages to provide diagnosis and treatment for a broad range of health conditions. He’s well-equipped to manage the full spectrum of acute and chronic health conditions in addition to providing preventive care and health screenings, in-office procedures such as shoulder, knee, and foot injections, as well as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and small lesion and skin tag removal. Dr. Folland worked four years in nursing before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from Saba University School of Medicine – Saba, Dutch Caribbean. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of North Dakota’s Center for Family Medicine in Minot. A member of American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and North Dakota Medical Association, his experience includes volunteer work related to 4-H youth activities and serving as an autistic child mentor. He enjoys fishing and other outdoor activities.
Alicia Flesner, DNP, NP-C
A board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice, Alicia Flesner, DNP, NP-C, is a member of our hospitalist team. She works in coordination with other hospital caregivers to provide general medical care to patients based on changes in a patient’s medical condition. Alicia earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University and received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Mary in Bismarck. She practiced nearly eight years with Trinity Health as an RN in the areas of orthopedics, same day surgery, and emergency medicine. She’s a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
Rym Lamrad, MD
Dr. Lamrad specializes in Palliative and Hospital Medicine, with a focus on the healthcare needs of hospital patients and the medical needs of people with serious or life-limiting illnesses. As a palliative specialist, she works with patients, families, and the patient’s care team to optimize quality of life for those who suffer from chronic, debilitating, or life-threatening conditions. She earned her medical doctorate from Saba University School of Medicine, the Netherlands-Antilles, and completed both her Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at State University of New York at Buffalo.
George Wilson, MD
Dr. Wilson specializes in Hospital Medicine, a specialty that coordinates all aspects of inpatient care. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, where he graduated with honors. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ. In 2004 Dr. Wilson provided volunteer medical services to victims of Hurricane Ivan in the West Indies.
