A member of our inpatient Behavioral Health team, Michael Rayel, MD, is a psychiatrist board certified in General, Geriatric, Forensic, and Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry. A Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, he has extensive experience treating patients with a wide range of psychological disorders, including depression and anxiety. Dr. Rayel earned his medical degree from De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute and completed his General Psychiatry residency at New York Medical College. He did a clinical fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry and an additional fellowship in Forensic and Correctional Psychiatry from New York University Medical Center and Harvard Medical School respectively. His postgraduate training also included two years of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy study at New York Medical College. Prior to joining Trinity Health, Dr. Rayel was associated with the University of Connecticut’s UConn Health, where he practiced General, Geriatric, Forensic, and Emergency Psychiatry and served as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry Forensic and Emergency Psychiatry. Prior to that he practiced nearly two decades in hospital and clinic settings in Clarenville, Newfoundland, where he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Rayel is a frequent lecturer and has authored numerous books on psychiatric topics, including First Aid to Mental Illness: A Practical Guide for Patients and Caregivers.

Kevin Moore, DO
A member of our outpatient Behavioral Health team, Dr. Moore is a board-certified psychiatrist dedicated to helping people improve their mental and emotional well-being. He provides comprehensive psychiatric care for adults dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders. Dr. Moore earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University in Iowa, and completed his psychiatry residency at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
Julie Hatfield, LCSW
Julie Hatfield, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and a member of our Behavioral Health team at Health Center – Riverside. Julie provides therapy services to individuals and families to help build skills and overcome life’s obstacles. Her specialized treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focus CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Family Systems Therapy, and more. A graduate of Minot State University’s social Work program, she completed her Master of Social Work degree at Florida State University in 2014. After graduation, she worked as a therapist at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch and later in Trinity Health’s Child/Adolescent Partial Hospitalization program, where she provided family, individual, and group therapy sessions. Prior to earning her master’s, Julie served as a case manager for Ward County Social Services and North Central Human Services Center.
Jennifer Woiwode, DNP, PMHNP
Jennifer Woiwode, DNP, PMHNP, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and a member of our Behavioral Health team. She works with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide medical and psychiatric diagnoses, design holistic treatment plans, prescribe psychopharmaceuticals and other medications, and offer counseling or psychotherapy. Jennifer grew up in Surrey and Velva. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minot State University and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Rush University in Chicago. Prior to earning her DNP, she practiced 12 years at in Inpatient Psychiatry for Trinity Health. She’s a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. When she’s not engaged in her profession, she enjoys scrapbooking, card making, and quilting. Jennifer and her husband have three adult sons, three dogs, and two cats.
Amy Thull, LAC
A member of Trinity Addiction Services, Amy Thull, LAC, is a licensed addiction counselor who works with doctors, counselors, and other professionals to provide inpatient and outpatient care for patients who suffer from the disease of addiction. The Granville native received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Addiction Studies from Minot State University in 2014.
Jason Andersen, LAC
A member of Trinity’s Behavioral Health team, Jason Andersen, LAC, is a licensed addiction counselor and program supervisor for Trinity Addiction Services. A Montana native, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Addiction Studies from Minot State University in 2000. He was associated with North Central Human Service Center in Minot for 15 years, where he served as the primary adolescent addiction counselor for the agency. While working with the adolescent program, he was active in the Ward County Juvenile Drug Court Program. Jason came to Trinity Hospital in May 2015 to assume the role as program supervisor. He lives in the Minot area with his family.
Heidi Stromswold, LAC
A licensed addiction counselor, Heidi Stromswold, LAC, works with patients to help them recover from their disease of addiction. Originally from Rapid City, SD, Heidi moved to Minot in 2007, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Addiction Studies from Minot State University in 2010, graduating summa cum laude. She joined Trinity Heath in 2012 as a licensed addiction counselor within its Addiction Services unit. Heidi lives in Minot with her family.
Becky Schneider, FNP-C
A member of Trinity’s Behavioral Health team, Becky Schneider, FNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner who works with doctors, counselors, and other professionals to provide inpatient care for patients with addiction and mental health issues. The Minot native received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Health Management Science from Minot State University in 2011. While at MSU she earned membership in Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and the Dean’s List, and received the Gertrude M. Eck Scholarship and MSU Dept. of Nursing Scholarship, which is awarded by Nursing faculty. Following graduation she joined Trinity’s Surgical Department as an RN. In 2014, she earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Mary, Bismarck. A member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association and North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association, she is accredited through ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Debra Lukenbill, PMHCNS-BC
A member of our provider team at Trinity Community Clinic – Western Dakota in Williston, Debra Lukenbill, PMHCNS-BC, is a board certified clinical nurse specialist in Psychiatry/Mental Health. She’s dedicated to helping people manage their mental health issues with holistic treatment options that include pharmacological intervention, lifestyle changes, and psychotherapy. A lifelong Williston resident, Debra earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and returned to UND to complete her master’s degree in Family Nurse Practice. She received a post-graduate certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis/St. Paul. She has practiced in the mental health field in Williston since 2001 and is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Debra and her husband have two grown children. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and crossword puzzles.
Liz Larsen, LCSW
Elizabeth A. Larsen, LCSW, is a licensed social worker specializing in behavioral health therapy, a branch of medicine that pertains to the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders. She joined Trinity Health in June 1999. She received her BSW from Minot State University, in May 1990, and her MSW, from the California State University, Sacremento, in May 1993. From May 1993 to August 1994, she served as a Family Therapist at The Village Family Service Center, Minot, and later as a Clinical Supervisor there.
