Allergy Relief Starts Here
Trinity Health’s allergists are doctors who specialize in identifying the causes of your allergies and finding the best treatment. They can help you get relief from allergies with an individualized treatment plan so you can enjoy a healthy, active life.
Allergy Triggers, Symptoms, and Treatment
Allergies happen when your immune system becomes sensitive to normally harmless things in the environment. Common allergy triggers include:
- Airborne allergens, including dust, mold, pollen, or pet dander
- Bug bites
- Certain foods, such as peanuts, fish, eggs, or milk
- Medications
- Substances like latex
When you are exposed an allergy trigger, your body can overreact in various ways:
- Sneezing and watery eyes
- Stuffed up sinuses
- Irritated throat and airway
- Trouble breathing and asthma
- Stomach and esophageal problems
- Skin irritation, eczema, rashes, and hives
Many treatments may be effective, such as a pill that helps eliminate hay fever symptoms. Through allergy testing and management plans, we will identify what works best for you. These are just a few of Trinity’s allergy services:
- Allergy shots
- Allergy testing
- Individualized treatment plans
- Medication
- Prevention education
Other Immunology Services
In addition to allergy services, Trinity Health allergy and immunology doctors have expertise in other problems of the immune system. A full medical workup can include blood tests and sometimes tests of antibodies. With these tests, Trinity Health’s doctors work to provide a complete picture of your immune system condition and potential treatments.
