A certified nurse practitioner, Pamela Holwegner, FNP-C, AOCNP provides care as a member of Trinity Health’s cancer care team. A Minot native, she received her nursing education in California and practiced extensively in California and North Dakota before earning her advanced nursing degree.
Pamela completed her Undergraduate nursing degree at the University of California, Fresno and practiced extensively in California and North Dakota, gaining experience in intensive care, cardiology and oncology nursing. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing at University of Mary, Bismarck, 2012, with preceptorships in oncology and dermatology. She’s a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, N.D. Nurse Practitioners Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She and her family, including three grown children, enjoy the arts, cooking, gardening and pinochle.
Hematology includes the study of etiology, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention of blood diseases. The laboratory work that goes into the study of blood is frequently performed by a medical technologist.
An oncologist deals with Cancer Cares and tumors including diagnosis, therapy, Surgery, and treatments.
