A board certified pediatrician, originally from New Philadelphia, Ohio, Dr. Peterson earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Keesler Medical Center, Biloxi, Mississippi. She joined Minot Air Force Base’s 5th Medical Group as a staff pediatrician. She served as Chief of Pediatrics at the base hospital prior to joining Trinity Medical Group. She’s a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics.

Friday Osuala, MD
Dr. Osuala is a pediatrician specially trained to manage the full range of physical, mental, and emotional health problems of children of all ages, including infections, injuries, chronic conditions, behavioral difficulties and developmental disorders. A graduate of the University of Nigeria College of Medicine, he worked as a general pediatrician at Tobago Regional Hospital in the West Indies for five years, where he provided outpatient and inpatient care for a Level 2 nursery and pediatric emergency room. He completed residency training in Pediatric Medicine at the Pediatric Department of Woodhull Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY.
Steven Mattson, MD
Steven R. Mattson, M.D. is a board certified internist and pediatrician. A graduate of the University of North Dakota, he received his medical degree from Michigan State University and completed his residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and the University of North Dakota Affiliated Hospitals. He has practiced in Minot since 1988. Mattson is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians.
Allison Lesmann, FNP-C
Allison Lesmann, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in children’s health. Born and reared in Minot, she received her nurse training in western North Dakota and practiced at Thomason Hospital, El Paso, TX and at Trinity Health before earning her master’s in advanced nursing practice. She completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, MN, and later accomplished post-graduate certification in psychiatric mental health nursing from Washburn University to expand her mental health knowledge to more effectively care for her pediatric patients. Allison is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the North Dakota Nurse Practitioners Association, and the American Nurses Association. She also has certifications in ACLS, PALS, and basic life support. Allison has a husband and three sons, with outside interests in kids activities and reading.
Michael Holland, MD
A Minneapolis native, Dr. Holland provides care for healthy and sick newborns, children, adolescents and young adults. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He’s board certified in Pediatrics.
Frederick Jones, MD
Dr. Fredrick Jones is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. With extensive experience caring for children of all ages, he is knowledgeable in all aspects of Pediatrics, including infections, injuries, disease and dysfunction, well-child checkups and immunizations. Dr. Jones is a native of Washington D.C., and received his medical degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS, and practiced at U.S. air bases in Japan and Virginia. While at Langley AFB, he served as Chief of Pediatric Services, Chief of Maternal Child Flight, and Assistant Chief of Medical Staff.

Katharyn Burgardt, FNP-C
A member of our Pediatrics Team, Katharyn Burgardt is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas and received her master’s from the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Kansas.
She has more than 900 hours of clinical experience during her Family Nurse Practitioner Program. She also has more than nine years in the nursing field including serving as a Nursing Educator at Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas where she gave clinical instruction in areas including Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Medical and Surgical.
In addition to being a nursing educator, she has also served as a Pediatric Nurse at Saint Catherine Hospital in Garden City Kansas. Katharyn is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Katharyn and her husband have two daughters.
Ann Cadwalader, MD
A Minot native, Ann Cadwalader, M.D., went to medical school at Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Cadwalader completed her internship and residency at John Hopkins Hospital. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is board eligible in Gastroenterology. Dr. Cadwalader has practiced Pediatric medicine at Medical Arts Clinic since 1989.
Thomas Carver, DO
A native of Great Falls, MT, Dr. Carver earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kansas City, MO. He completed his residency at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, Aurora, CO, and his Fellowship at University of Colorado Health Science Center. He’s board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine.
