Dr. Sierra Unruh is a board-certified optometrist dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality vision care to people of all ages. Working with Trinity’s team of eye care specialists, Dr. Unruh provides diagnosis, treatment, and referral for the full range of eye diseases, including cataract, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. Her expertise includes diagnosing and managing complex eye conditions. She also provides routine eye care exams and is skilled at prescribing glasses and contacts. Dr. Unruh was born and raised in Bismarck. She completed her undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Dakota. She received her optometric education and training at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 2015, followed by a post-doctorate residency at the Memphis VA Medical Center. Following residency, she established an optometric care clinic for veterans in Aberdeen, SD, working in unison with ophthalmologists and primary care providers. She also achieved fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry in 2018. Before joining Trinity Regional Eyecare in summer of 2021, Dr. Unruh provided optometry services with Johnson Eyecare & Eyewear in Minot for several years.

Jason Coombs, DO
A physiatrist specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Jason Coombs, DO, helps patients restore loss of mobility and function due to injury or disease and serves as medical director of our inpatient rehabilitation unit, RehabCare. Dr. Coombs provides both inpatient and outpatient care to people dealing with a variety of conditions such as stroke, brain/spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic trauma. He also provides musculoskeletal examinations and diagnosis using EMG and other techniques. Formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Coombs earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University California and completed his PM&R residency at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids. His experience includes medical service across three different continents as part of the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard. A member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Coombs and his family enjoy sports, outdoor activities, and travel. He’s been active in community service, including a 20-year involvement with the Boy Scouts of America and coaching youth sports teams.
Brad Schimke, OD
Dr. Schimke has provided vision care to patients in Minot and throughout the region for many years. He joined Trinity Health in July 2001. A native of Minot, he received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1993. His wife, Michele, is an elementary teacher with Minot Public Schools. They have 3 sons.
Jill Martinson-Redekopp, OD
Jill Martinson-Redekopp is a native of Garrison, North Dakota. She attended North Dakota State University and received her optometric degree from Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. Dr. Martinson-Redekopp received the Distinguished Service Award from the North Dakota Optometric Association. She is the Past President of the North Dakota State Board of Optometry where she served for 25 years. She is the past Chair of the Council on Optometric Practitioner Education for the Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry. She is the past President of the Board of Directors for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. She is currently serving as liaison from the Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry to the Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.
