A licensed independent clinical social worker, Bruce Andersen, LCSW, works with behavioral health clients to help them deal with a variety of mental and emotional health issues to improve their functioning and overall well-being. He earned his undergraduate degree in Social Work from Moorhead State University in 1987 and his master’s in Social Work from Florida State University in 2007. Prior to joining Trinity Health he spent 18 years as a Social Worker for the State of North Dakota at the North Central Human Service Center, where he conducted individual therapy sessions as well as doing group therapy for anger issues and domestic violence issues. Earlier he worked at the North Dakota State Penitentiary for approximately two years, conducting group and individual therapy. He also was associated with Dakota Boys Ranch for several years, serving as a house parent and later as a Case Manager. A member of the National Association of Social Workers, Bruce and his wife, Nancy, have two children.
