A board-certified nurse practitioner, April Warren, DNP, FNP-C, works with other members of the Behavioral Health team to provide comprehensive care to patients in our Inpatient Psychiatry unit. With experience in both Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry, she offers care to people dealing with a broad range of mental health issues, from addiction to depression and anxiety. A North Dakota native, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Medcenter One College of Nursing in Bismarck and completed both her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practictioner and Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Mary, Bismarck. She served as a nurse practitioner in Trinity Health’s Emergency/Trauma Center from 2009 to 2014. During that period, she also provided residential treatment to at-risk youth at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch and cared for adult and youth patients at Dakota Family Services. In 2013, she founded Serenity Health Solutions, an independent mental health practice, that still provides outpatient medication management services to patients ages nine to adults. A member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association.
