Visitors to the 2015 KMOT Ag Expo will be able to take advantage of low-cost health screenings sponsored by North Dakota Living and Trinity Health.
Trinity Health will offer blood glucose and cholesterol screenings from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. The cost is $15. Free blood pressure checks will also be available.
Kathleen White, Trinity’s Community Education Coordinator, says health screenings are an important tool to identify health issues that should be addressed with a doctor.
“Preventive screenings are a vital part of health promotion and a cost-effective way to identify and treat health issues before they become major problems,” White said, noting, “The earlier a doctor can diagnose and treat a condition, the easier and more effective the treatment.”
The health screenings will take place in Arena 2 at booth 19 of the Expo.
Clark Van Horn, advertising manager for North Dakota Living, added: “North Dakota Living is pleased to showcase this important event. We sponsor these popular health screenings because electric and telephone cooperatives care about the well-being of our members.”
