Why North Plains CrossFit
With any CrossFit class you are getting an all-inclusive form of exercise that is designed to test your physical abilities. Strength, balance, flexibility, accuracy, and stamina are just a few of the “General Physical Skills” that we will test and improve.
However, at North Plains CrossFit you gain access to not only a workout program but also a coaching staff that is dedicated to helping you reach a higher level of fitness! You’re getting a personal trainer!
Each class starts with a warmup, progresses into some “skill” work (can you do a handstand push-up?), then the workout of the day (WoD) starts! Our coaching staff will make sure that you understand the workout, how to perform the movements correctly and safely, and will then talk with you after the workout about nutrition, sleep, recovery, and a variety of other topics.
Not only do you get to work with professional personal trainers during every workout but you will be taught functional movements like Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and other exercises designed to make your daily activities easier.
Another reason that North Plains CrossFit stands out is the community that we are creating. One of the biggest reasons that most people start to skip out on their monthly “Globo Gym” membership is they don’t have anyone to hold them accountable. With our classes you will get to know the people that you are sweating with! We will also hold events, get-togethers, and cookouts!

At North Plains CrossFit we truly believe that extraordinary fitness can be achieved by everybody! We are located inside the Minot Family YMCA and that gives us a huge advantage over other gyms. Inside our 1600 square foot designated CrossFit facility we have access to:
- 16 pull-up stations
- 20 foot Monster rig that includes 4 squat stands
- 10+ Olympic weightlifting bars (including training bars)
- 4 Concept 2 rowers
- 1200+ pounds of bumper plates
- 1200+ pounds of metal plates
- Kettlebells, medicine balls, slam balls, …..
- Jump ropes, ab mats, bands, plyometric boxes, foam rollers, ….
- And certainly not least, experienced coaches that can help you reach your goals!
