Level II Trauma Center

trauma

As a trauma patient you can rest assured that at Trinity Hospital we have a full range of medical, surgical and vital support services waiting to greet you the moment you arrive at our Emergency/Trauma Center. Specially trained providers from various disciplines stand ready to deliver the highest quality care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As soon as we know a trauma patient is en route, Trinity’s trauma team is summoned via digital pager. Within minutes the team is gathered in the Trauma Resuscitation Room, preparing supplies and initiating the admitting process. Once the patient arrives, the team immediately begins assessing and documenting injuries and, if need be, providing immediate life-saving, medical intervention. Lab and radiology staff expedite the necessary diagnostic tests, such as blood analysis, x-ray, CT, MRI or ultrasound.

Trinity’s Trauma Services include pre-hospital transport, emergency medicine and trauma surgery and its subspecialties, including orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, heart and lung surgery, urology and ophthalmology. Other services include critical care, emergency nursing, social work, rehabilitation and nutrition services. Through an interdisciplinary approach, our trauma program is designed to serve the needs of the injured patient from education/prevention through rehabilitation.
