An individualized exercise program, which can include walking, stationary cycling, rowing and upper extremity exercises, will be designed for you. These exercises will strengthen your muscles and decrease shortness of breath. While exercising, you will be under the care of experienced cardio-pulmonary nurses, exercise physiologists and respiratory therapists who will monitor your blood pressure, heart rate and rhythm, and oxygen level to ensure you are exercising safely. Education An education program designed specifically for you will help you achieve and maintain healthier lifestyle habits. Follow-up exercise for panic and control and relaxation is also part of the education program. Once you have completed the initial cardiac or pulmonary program, you still need to exercise regularly to maintain your conditioning and strength. You can continue your specific exercise program by joining the phase 3 maintenance program, which keeps you exercising on a regular basis. Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab
