Retina Specialist Joins Trinity Regional Eyecare

(MINOT, ND)-Trinity Regional Eyecare-Minot Center has added vitreoretinal services with the addition of David J. Jacobs, a specialist in vitreoretinal surgery and disease.  

Dr. Jacobs provides complete diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases.  "Patients will now be able to receive more advanced treatment for a wide variety of retinal problems, such diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment and other diseases," he said. 

A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, Dr. Jacobs completed his Ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University Eye Center, Winston-Salem, NC.  He completed a vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Miami's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, named the number one eye hospital in the nation in 2010 by U.S. News and World Report.  

A member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Dr. Jacobs is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
