As a regional referral center for newborns in need of special care, Trinity is proud of its Newborn ICU. Founded in 1975, the Newborn ICU has provided more than 2,300 premature and ill newborns the chance to grow and be healthy.
In fact, two of our "graduates" made the Guinness Book of Records for being the earliest premature twins in the United States!
Tom Carver, DO, a board-certified neonatologist, is the director of Trinity’s Newborn ICU. Dr. Linda Zak, a board-certified neonatologist, joined Trinity Health Group in September of 2009. With a team of specially trained nurses, and other support people combined with the latest technological tools to care for premature and sick babies, the Newborn ICU at Trinity Hospital is capable of caring for your baby should he or she need that level of specialized care.
