Trinity Health is pleased to announce that pediatric occupational therapist Krystal Butgereit, MOT, OTR/L, has joined its team of rehab specialists.
Krystal has eight years of experience providing pediatric OT services to children with special needs. A North Dakota native, she recently returned to her home state to continue her passion of providing skilled therapy to children.
“I am so pleased to offer this service to northwest North Dakota,” Krystal said. “I know what a difference it can make in the lives of children to be able to better interact with their families and peers and to be more independent and confident in their daily lives.”
Pediatric occupational therapists collaborate with children and their families to promote a child's development and independence in areas of daily living, education, play and social participation. “We use play to develop the skills that children need to be kids,” Krystal added.
Originally from Mohall, Krystal graduated from the University of North Dakota with a master's degree in occupational therapy. She practiced in Idaho for the past eight years, providing pediatric OT services in various outpatient settings.
Krystal joins Trinity occupational therapist Chelsey Reiter, MOT, OTR/L, who also has a strong interest in pediatrics. Trinity OT Manager Lisa Burke, OTR/L, says the addition represents a significant step toward enhancing Trinity's range of OT services at Health Center — West, which includes adult and pediatric OT and hand therapy.
