(MINOT, ND) - Trinity Health has named two of his employees to key leadership posts within the organization.

Dr. Alexandre Kindy, an orthopedic surgeon and Chairman of the Department of Surgery, has been named Medical Director of Value Initiatives, a new position. Dr. Kindy will engage Trinity's medical staff in an initiative to design processes in a way that improves patient access and health outcomes. Among his goals will be to enhance care quality by leveraging information across primary care, specialty and other service lines to coordinate the delivery of care more effectively. As a physician liaison, he'll engage with other medical providers to enhance the quality of services offered across the care system and work to strengthen services through process improvement.

Vice President Randy Schwan, MBA, has been promoted to Vice President of Mission Integration, a role that involves applying Trinity Health's mission across the care system as it grows and develops new services. His objectives will include integrating Trinity Health's Mission and Strategic Plan as a core business process, collaborating with partners throughout the region to promote healthy community initiatives, and engaging with Trinity's growing workforce to foster a culture of service. He'll retain his current duties overseeing various clinical and support departments within Trinity Health.

A board certified orthopedist, Dr. Kindy joined Trinity's Orthopedic Associates in 1997, where he has focused on joint replacement and shoulder arthroscopy. The Montreal native earned his medical degree from the University of Alberta and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Calgary. He'll continue to see patients in his outpatient practice at Health Center - West.

Mr. Schwan joined Trinity Health in 1995 as Director of Marketing and Community Education and was promoted to the position of Vice President in 2003. A Minot native, his background includes a successful career in law enforcement, serving in both the Minot and Williston regions. He earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Minot State University in 1993 and was graduated in 1995 from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management with a master's in business administration.
