(MINOT, ND)— Shar Grigsby, physician recruiter at Trinity Health, has been named a fellow of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR).

Grigsby was awarded fellowship status after successfully completing three national certification courses and corresponding exams covering such topics as physician/provider recruitment, onboarding and retention, human resources, and relevant immigration and legal issues.

A Bowbells native and Minot State University graduate, Grigsby began her 30-year career in medical administration at Medical Arts Clinic in 1988. She served as a correspondence secretary, transcriptionist and executive secretary before being promoted to marketing and managed care coordinator in 1998. When Medical Arts and Trinity merged in 2000, she assumed her present role as physician recruiter. In that capacity she’s led a robust in-house recruitment program and has been instrumental in the development and growth of Trinity’s medical group.

ASPR is an organization of more than 1,600 in-house physician recruitment professionals representing over 800 healthcare employers.
