Robert Sanke MD

Ophthalmology

Dr. Robert Sanke was born and raised in Michigan and received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine located in Detroit. His medical/surgical internship was at Walter Reed General Hospital in Washington, D.C., followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Sanke had post-graduate fellowship training in oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital of the University of London and medical/surgical neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Oklahoma. Several years before coming to Minot he was was Director of Oculoplastic Surgery at the Alliance Eye and Ear Clinic - a clinic that has begun its second century of service to the people of Ohio. Dr. Sanke's professional interests include the application of materials science to medicine, the physiology and pathology of the optic nerve, the interaction of law and medicine with society, and the history of science and medicine.
