Emergency Medicine



Kristy Leier, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner and a member of our Emergency/Trauma team. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing and master’s degree in Family Nurse Practice from the University of Mary, Bismarck. She also has served as a flight nurse for NorthStar Criticair, Trinity’s critical care helicopter. She is credentialed by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is certified in all of the life support protocols, including basic, advanced cardiac, pediatric, neonatal and trauma nursing. She’s a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association.

Emergency Medicine

An emergency medicine physician receives training to care for patients with acute illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. While not providing long-term or continuing care, they diagnose a variety of illnesses and undertake various interventions to stabilize patients.
