Test and Procedures for diagnosing cardiac disorders include:

Electrocardiogram (EKG)

Probably the first test your cardiologist will prescribe will be an Electrocardiogram or EKG. This is a test in which patches are applied to the patient’s skin and connected by wires to a machine that will print out a reading of the electrical activity of the heart. The test is painless and provides the physician with valuable information about the electrical functioning of a patient’s heart.
