Trinity Health occupational therapists provide specialized treatment of wrists and hands in the hand therapy department located right next to the outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine department. These clinicians have received specific training in treatment of wrist and hand dysfunctions and also can develop custom fabricated splints to meet individual patient needs.

The hand therapy team provides treatment to adults and children for:

• Range of Motion
• Scar Management
• Pain Management
• Strengthening
• Coordination
• Fine motor development
• Splint Fabrication
• Edema Control
• Sensory re-education

They also work very closely with our team of orthopedic surgeons and hand specialists to provide rehabilitation following surgeries involving the hand, wrist, and fingers.
