foundation/giving :: Building Hope 13th Annual Building Hope Event
Tickets go on sale in April! (More information below)
Brenda Elsagher, National keynote speaker, author and comic will entertain, educate and enlighten us during Trinity health Foundation's annual Building Hope Event on Monday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn, 2200 Burdick Expressway East in Minot. A colorectal cancer survivor diagnosed at the age of 39, Brenda relied on her humor, faith, friends and family, along with good medical care to get through it. Brenda's outlook with cancer has brought out many gifts. First was a desire to do things she had long put off like pursuing her dream of becoming a comedian and going to college. Since her diagnosis, Brenda won the title of Twin Cities Funniest Person, Newsmaker of the year by the Women's Press, and received the Golden "Mic" award from the American Cancer Society along with the Advocacy to Action award. Brenda is an international keynote speaker and author of, If the Battle is Over, Why Am I Still in Uniform? I'd Like to Buy a Bowel Please! and most recently, Bedpan Banter. Brenda's presentation brings on belly laughter punctuated by honest and enriching moments of being a German Catholic married to an Egyptian Muslim and mother of two teens and relays how humor is universal. She has the ability to include her audience in her personal experience in a way they can all relate. Brenda wants you to come, relax and have a good time.
