Community Ambulance Service, Inc. is dedicated to provide ultimate professionalism in the highly specialized field
of pre-hospital care. The principle of excellence in health care is the continued objective of Community Ambulance
Service, Inc.
About Us
Founded on March 9, 1981 Community Ambulance Service, Inc. has grown from a Basic Life Support (BLS) service in 1981, to
a fully Advanced Life Support (ALS) service in 1991. With a present employment of nearly 30 people, we respond to
over 7000 calls annually. Community Ambulance Service, Inc. serves as the primary ALS ambulance service to the city
of Minot and nearly 2000 square miles surrounding Minot.
Community Ambulance Service, Inc. responds to 911 and other emergent calls working hand in hand with Minot Fire
Department, Minot Police Department, and Ward County Sheriff’s Department, as well as many local First Responder
Groups. Along with the emergent calls, we respond to many emergent and non-emergent interfacility transfers. We
also provide ALS intercept services to many of the ambulance services in northwestern North Dakota.
Community Involvement
Aside from the many ambulance calls we respond to yearly, Community Ambulance Service, Inc. gets involved in the
community by providing standby coverage at many events. These events include the North Dakota State Fair, Norsk
Hostfest, rodeos, and motocross events. We often provide medical coverage to the Minot Fire Department on fire
standbys and the Minot Police Department when their SWAT team is activated.
The community involvement does not stop there. We host ambulance tours to many local groups and school events.
Community Ambulance Service, Inc. runs a Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) program, aiding in the placement of
many Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) in and around the community. As well as providing CPR, First Aid, and
AED training to many of the citizens in and around the Minot area.
