Paid Time Off - Giving You Time:
Personal time off with pay is called Paid Time Off (PTO). This time may be used at the employee’s discretion,
for personal reasons, according to policy. Accruals began with Employment and are available for use after 90
days of Employment. PTO accrual rates increase with longevity. Use of PTO is encouraged, however, carry-over
is Permitted. PTO is a wonderful benefit that FT and PT Employees earn, based on hours worked.
Extended Leave:
Extended sick time accrues from the date of hire, separate From the PTO accruals and is available for use
after 90 days of employment. Sick leave is designed to assist the employee during times of illness.
Holidays - Celebrate the Holidays!:
At Trinity Health we observe the following six legal holidays. New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence
Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Health Insurance - We’ve Got You Covered:
Trinity Health offers employees health insurance through Blue Cross-Blue Shield of North Dakota.
Employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for health insurance coverage through Trinity
Health.
Trinity offers a single, single plus dependant, and family health care plan with Trinity sharing in the cost.
Dental Insurance - Something to Smile About:
In addition to its health benefits package, Trinity Health offers employees dental coverage under their
group health contract. This benefit is provided at no additional cost to the employee. Employees may also
obtain family dental coverage for an additional charge.
Dental coverage begins the same time your health benefits begin. Dental
coverage through Trinity Health may also be obtained as a stand-alone
benefit, even if another insurance carrier is providing your health
insurance.
Life Insurance:
After one year of employment, Trinity Health employees, working at least 20 hours per week will receive
life insurance benefits equal to 1 ½ times their base pay at no cost to them.
Long Term Disability Insurance:
Following one year of continuous employment, Trinity Health employees working at least 20 hours per week
are covered by long-term disability insurance at no cost to the employee. A benefit of 60% of monthly income,
not to exceed $3,000, continues until the age of 65 or until the employee returns to work or the disability
ceases to qualify the person for coverage.
Short Term Disability:
Trinity Health employees who work a minimum of 20 hours per week, and are under the age of 65, may
purchase short-term disability at a group rate. Benefits are paid for a disability resulting from an accident
or illness, work related or not.
Cancer Care Insurance:
Trinity Health employees who work a minimum of 20 hours per week, are under the age of 65, and qualify,
may purchase Cancer Care Insurance at a group rate. This voluntary insurance provides various benefits to a
cancer patient including additional chemotherapy, prosthesis, and many more benefits that health insurance
does not cover.
Tuition Assistance - Education is Important:
Trinity Health provides tuition assistance up to $500.00 per year to all employees working at least 20 hours
per week, with all limitations. Courses must be job- related. Approval before start of the class is necessary.
Scholarships:
Trinity offers nursing scholarships for both RN’s and LPN’s each year. For detailed information on this
program, contact the Human Resources Department.
Direct Deposit - Convenience For You:
Trinity Health will automatically deposit your paycheck every two (2) weeks into either a checking or
savings account of your choice. Employees will receive a pay voucher each payday reflecting their earnings
for the current pay period and year to date.
TriniPlus 401(K) - Investing With You:
Employees of Trinity Health are eligible to participate in a 401 (k) retirement plan. Our TriniPlus 401 (k)
plan allows employees the chance to invest on a tax-deferred basis for long-term goals, including
retirement. Even better, after one year of employment Trinity Health will also begin to contribute funds
to this program for those employees participating.
Pension Plan - Saving For You:
Trinity Health’s TriniPlus pension plan is open to all employees after one year of employment. Employees
must be 21 years of age and work a minimum of 1,000 hours per year. This defined contribution plan is
fully funded by Trinity Health.
Triniflex - Flexibility For You:
Triniflex is available to staff who work a minimum of 1,040 hours per year. This benefit puts additional
dollars in employees’ pockets by letting them set aside dollars on a pre-tax basis to pay for
out-of-pocket medical expenses or dependent adult or child care expenses. Out-of-pocket medical expenses include
co-payments, deductibles, prescription drugs, chiropractic care, over-the-counter drugs, eyeglasses and
out-of pocket dental expenses.
Cafeteria Discount - Eat Up!:
All Trinity employees enjoy a 10% discount on all food items from the center’s cafeterias.
